Exquisitely restored. Casa Amor is not an hotel, really, it’s a home.  One that two French friends poured years of devoted attention into.  Restoring to the ‘nth’ degree of authenticity, restoring it with an eye that notices everything - the particular light through a whitewashed wall, the weight of the cotton towel, the small pleasure of an Nespresso machine waiting on your bedside table.

Every detail speaks of care and style without ostentation. Beautiful beds, beautiful fabrics, beautiful quiet.  The kind of place that makes a place feel more itself.

Olhao

Casa Amor is nestled into the fishing village of Olhao. Olhao is the Algarve that tourists haven’t entirely claimed yet - rough hewn, salt bleached, genuinely itself.  To sit inside it slowly, in community, after a morning of practice - that is a particular kind of fortune.

This is a town that keeps revealing itself.  There is always more here than at first glance.  I know this from personal experience and many visits.  Just sitting down at the market with coffee and watching the boats I have found corners and spaces that don’t necessarily make it to Instagram.

The Rooftop Shala
Our Yoga  practice will unfold each morning and evening open to the Algavian sky. Vast and vivid. Below are the terra-cotta roofscapes of Olhao and the astonishingly curious storks nesting and flying over the church spire.  Your job?  Just show up and breath .  Take it all in.

The Pastry Table.
One of the owners trained as a pastry chef in Paris.  He creates the most extraordinary baking.  I know because I have frequented their cafe.  His gluten free lemon cake is a simplicity to behold.  This is a pastry retreat within a retreat.

Intimate by Design
This is a smaller group than usual.  Intentionally so.  The intimacy of Casa Amor is it’s gift. It’s cosy yet has this saltwater pool on the rooftop that opens up to that blue sky and the vista of Olhao.

Yin, Movement and Presence
As always, our practice draws on the wisdom of Chinese Traditional medicine - meridians, elements, seasons - woven into long slow holds that let the body truly land.  You will leave feeling changed in a way that is hard to name but easy to feel.

Retreat Pricing

The total price for this  carefully curated retreat  over 5 nights is €2915 per  person.
Should you prefer a single room and subject to availability, the supplement is €245.
The deposit at the time of booking is €750.
